Exotic for many, but much like home for myself who was born in Morocco. However, after having been gone from this part of the world for so long, it amazed me at how foreign I found things. I'm also slightly embarrassed to say how foreign the people seemed to find me as I searched for familiarity. Nonetheless I absorbed and basked in the many familiar/foreign workings that western Africa held for me, and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
