To counter the greys of winter, I flew down to the Gulf Coast of Florida to visit some of my favorite attractions.  The sunny infusion and quirky vistas were quite revitalizing!

At Sunken Gardens in Saint Petersburg, I educate myself concerning the facsinating flamingos.

Here I perch upon the growing stone.  According to legend,  "he who sits upon the ancient stone shall be granted tranquility, inner harmony and the talent to make things grow."  I shall put my new found talents to the test in my garden come spring.

At Weeki Wachee, after watching more lively mermaids perform, I relax with this lovely visage of those talented water denizens.

During a relaxing river cruise at Weeki Wachee springs, the water was so clear that I was quite tempted to join these pelicans for a swim!

The sponge museum in the Greek town of Tarpon Springs is not to be missed!
