I rest in front of one of the oldest churches in Transylvania, St. Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church. The church is an architectural mix of the Byzantine, Baroque, and Gothic styles. Next to the church is the oldest school in Romania.

I pose in front of the entrance to Bran Castle where Vlad Tepes was reputed to visit. The castle became famous after the publication of Bram Stoker's novel, "Dracula."

Sinaia, Romania

I keep watch by the artillery, with Peles Castle in the background. Construction began on this picturesque castle in 1873.

Bucharest, Romania

Here I am investigating traditional Romanian dwellings and structures within the Muzeul Satului, or the Village Museum. The museum, founded in 1936, is an ethnographical park featuring traditional houses from around the country.
