The impressive Wells Cathedral in Wells, England was built in stages between 1180 and 1508 and incorporates several Gothic styles of architecture.

Chepstow Castle in Chepstow, Wales was built in 1067 by the Normans. The castle is the oldest surviving stone fortification in the Isles.

Caldicot Castle in Wales was constructed in 1221, also by the Normans. With walls nine feet thick, It is quite a formidable fortress indeed!

I've arrived at the Winchester Cathedral, built in 1093, to pay my respects to Jane Austen who is interred there.
